I wasn’t going to post tonight, but I wanted to make sure I updated everyone on my mom…we got a great report back from the doctor! The scans were clear and the lymph node has not changed! The cancer is still stable! Those words are so sweet to hear. The only words better to hear from the doctor would be cancer free, but we are REJOICING with this good news that the cancer has not grown or spread. My mom is so relieved and so encouraged by the wonderful support and prayers of so many! Thank you all so much for lifting us up to the throne of grace. We are beyond blessed. God did not have to make the news “good” today in order to be good and faithful, but we are so thankful for His kindness and graciousness to us.
Here are just a few verses that that myself and others have sent to my mom to dwell on and remember where our hope, peace, and joy are found.
“and though you have not seen Him, you love Him, and though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, obtaining as the outcome of your faith the salvation of your souls.” (1 Peter 1:8-9)
“For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison” (2 Corinthians 4:17)
“Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers. For I was very glad when brethren came and testified to your truth, that is, how you are walking in truth. I have no greater joy than this, to hear of my children walking in the truth.” (3 John 1:2-4)
One final thing before I go, we put down an offer on another place. Praying that this would work out if it is God’s will and if not He would shut the door and I will be faithful to follow where ever He leads! Hope everyone had a great Tuesday! So thankful for my dgroup tonight and hearing how the ladies have been building relationships with others for the purpose of God’s glory!
